There is an exclusive one day workshop taking place on January 26th at the IBM Innovation Center at Hursley in thhe UK. This workshop will be delivered by members of the sMash development team.
From the abstract:
This workshop will explore IBM WebSphere sMash with discussions that include Representational State Transfer (REST), an architectural style that allows services to be exposed and consumed over the Web; PHP Hypertext Preprocessor (commonly known as PHP); and Groovy, a dynamic scripting language which leverages existing Java™ skills. It will also cover developing and deploying WebSphere sMash applications in a highly virtualised cloud environment such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
