While we recommend the Application Builder as the preferred tool for building ProjectZero applications, Project Zero with Eclipse allows you to use your existing development skills to build,deploy, and run Zero applications.





Project Zero Eclipse Plug-in for Java and Groovy

Project Zero provides an Eclipse plug-in for developers. The Eclipse plug-in includes an installer to download additional Zero runtime libraries from a Zero package repository after installation.

System Requirement for Eclipse Plug-in

  • Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux operating system
  • Java SE Development Kit (JDK) 5.0 Note: IBM Employees should use the IBM internal site for downloading the JDK
  • Eclipse SDK 3.2.2 or later Note: Eclipse must be started with version 5.0 of the JDK or download errors will occur.

Installing and Configuring Eclipse for Java and Groovy

Experienced users, configure a new remote update site using the URL shown below in Eclipse through Help > Software Updates > Find and Install.
