PHP Application Bringup

In this page we discuss progress towards bringing up existing PHP applications on Project Zero.

Applications which are known to run.

The list of applications currently known to run can be found in the documentation and includes, phpBB, SugarCRM, Mediawiki, FirePHP, Drupal, Wordpress, EyeOS, elgg, Gallery2.

Applications which need further bringup activity.

Drupal 6.9 Extensions

We are now able to install Drupal with a number of Internal/External Modules on Lemans.

eyeOS Extensions

eyeOS An operating system which resides on a web browser. eyeOS now installs and runs on sMash. Below you can find the status of EyeOS extensions.

CakePHP

CakePHP now installs fine, though we have only done some limited evaluation, so let us know if there are any issues in running this application on sMash

CMS Made Simple

At this moment in time we are able to install CMS Made Simple on Lemans, though we have only done some limited evaluation, so please do tell us about your experiences in running this application on sMash.

Mambo

We are looking into running Mambo. Though we are coming across a couple of installation errors.

PhpWiki

We are looking into running PHPWiki, though these bugs are preventing it from working at the moment.

Currently fails because we don't support import_request_variables.

Xoops

A bug has been found during the installation of Xoops:

Oxid eShop Community Edition

Powerful PHP5 based open source e-commerce solution - WLG

When trying to install Oxie eShop the first installation page indicates that system requirements arent sufficient when using sMash. This page indicateds incomplete extensions: LIB XML2, DOM and the MySQL module for MySQL 5

Lifetype 1.2.8

We are able to install lifetype on Lemans. We have only done some limited evaluation of this application, please let us know of your experiences in running this application.

PHPUnit 3.4.9

Currently in bring-up. Here are the instructions on how to install PHPUnit in the CLI.

phpMyAdmin 3.1.2

Has been reported on the forum as not working due to missing functions (Link to forum post):

  • mcrypt_create_iv()
  • http_build_query()
  • filter_input()

eZPublish

Requires spl_autoload_functions and spl_autoload_register. If the eZ Publish code is patched to work around this the application starts up but fails during configuration. Details of the steps to get eZ Publish to work are here.

Zikula

Zikula currently wont install due to mbstring not being fully implemented yet.

During the install you get the error : FATAL ERROR: mbstring is not installed in PHP. Zikula will not install without this extension.

Siteframe 5.0.6

Siteframe wont install until the mysqli extension is fully implemented. During installation you get the error:

FATAL ERROR: This version of Siteframe requires the mysqli extension to access the MySQL database; this does not appear to be installed.

phpwcms

Phpwcms installs fine, but a bug has been found when navigating around the different screens in the application :

phpWebSite

phpWebSite fails to install because of the following bug:

b2evolution 3.2.2

b2evolution seems to fail due to a database related error. A bug has been raised with a description of the problem:

Nucleus 3.2
