PHP Application Bringup

In this page we discuss our activities to bring up new PHP applications on Project Zero. The list of applications currently known to run can be found in the documentation

Tikiwiki

It is possible to instal tikiwiki on latest sebring code. Then it is possible to log in an use many functions. We have only done some limited evaluation of TikiWiki so please let us know your experience.

Gallery2

Gallery 2.3 now almost installs cleanly on sebring. There is a couple of minor issues you come across when trying to install the application. The bugs causing the issues are listed below.

CakePHP

As far as we can tell CakePHP installs and runs fine. We have only done some limited evaluation of CakePHP so please let us now your experiences.

CMS Made Simple

As far as we can tell CMS installs OK on sebring. . We have only done some limited evaluation so please let us now your experiences.

Drupal

We believe that Drupal is close to running on sebring. Currently it does not run because the extension function mb_language is not present. This should be easy to work around.

Joomla

Joomla installs but loeads to a blank screen after install..

I tried Joomla with sebring code from December 19. The install works just fine but after the install I reach a page that says "Welcome to Joomla" with no syling or other content on the page.

Mambo

We are looking into running Mambo. Though we are coming across a couple of installation errors.

Now fails because we don't support import_request_variables.

Moodle

To install moodle you need to make sure your my.ini file which is located in your mysql directory is setup correctly. The default character set needs to be set to utf8. There is also another bug below which stops the moodle installation

Xoops
