PHP support

Project Zero enables developers to build applications in the PHP programming language. This support allows developers who are familiar with PHP to use Project Zero's convention based programming model to build rich applications using RESTful design principles. This information is detailed in this guide.

Project Zero provides a Java based PHP interpreter (internally code named P8) to interpret and execute PHP scripts. P8 supports all the language constructs of PHP (PHP 5.2.4) as defined at the PHP.net project and enables commonly used native functions to the script developers. P8 is supported on Linux (on Intel 32bit), Windows and Mac OS X platforms. There are more details about the PHP language features and PHP Functions in this guide. The PHP FAQ also addresses specific questions about the support for PHP in Project Zero.
